Northwest marks 2 year countdown to London 2012
Thanks to all delegates who recently attended the Northwest’s 4th annual 2012 conference, held to coincide with this year’s Open Weekend and the 2 year countdown to the world’s biggest sporting event.
Opened with a striking carnival performance involving 70 dancers and musicians from arts organisation Brouhaha, the conference saw a range of speakers highlight the region’s achievements on its journey to London 2012. Paralympic cyclist and swimmer Jody Cundy was also on hand to talk about his unique and personal journey to sporting success.
The conference also marked the launch of "Bringing the Games to Life", the 2012 Update of the Northwest Legacy Framework for the 2012 Games. A summary of the Legacy Ambitions is available
