The Inspire programme recognises non-commercial projects that are innovative and genuinely inspired by the Games coming to London in 2012.
Projects should be free from commercial support and applications can be accepted from the following groups highlighted on the London 2012 website.

Over 1,500 outstanding initiatives across the UK are already benefitting from being part of the Inspire programme. Here in the Northwest we have over 170 innovative projects, ranging from a fantastic interactive educational programme in Cheshire designed by young people, to Blaze in Lancashire, which links young people to culture and sport.
We are looking for projects and events that forge new relationships, promote personal excellence and focus on any of the following themes: sport, culture, business, education, volunteering, and environmental sustainability.
Organisations applying should be free from commercial support, UK based and not for profit. Individual schools and colleges are not eligible for the Inspire programme but can get involved with the Games through the Get Set programme.
Each of the six themes has a few criteria your project needs to meet. More details about these criteria can be found here.
